The Old St. Mary's Church was looking for a fresh look to their vestments. During the review process many elements were considered as to their historical relevance, image and representation. Several items then went into production to complete the project. Some of the following items were created in collaboration with Denise Robello. She is also a graduate of the prestigious Royal School of Needlework.
The following are samples of the variety of projects created.
The vestment's appliqué had been damaged as well as outdated. A new appliqué and banding was designed and produced to create a more contemporary execution. Some appliqués are purchased and hand sewn at the request of the client and other have been drawn by hand and designed by Jessica.

The vestment's restoration began with reinserting new banding on the neck line. It became torn and frayed due to clipping on a microphione during Mass. See photos below of before and after project.

Jessica made these linen collars so they could be basted onto the neckline of the stoles. It is much easier to remove and wash these than clean the finer silks and fabric the stoles are made of.
