Mounting

Mounting is done to finish your embroidery so it can look its best whether done by soft mounting or hard mounting over a board. In addition, a mounted piece will ensure that the embroidery looks smooth and flat showing off all the hard work that has gone into creating it. This method will also help to preserve your embroidery for many years to come. 


Below are photos of the step-by-step process of how to neatly mount a piece of finished embroidery onto board using traditional conservation techniques and also what a soft mounting looks like.
