One Stitch at a Time

Welcome to Stiletto & Mellor, your home for all things related to the lost art of hand embroidery.  As you’re already here, you’ve fallen under the enchantment of needlework, from the fundamentals of tent stitch to fine cut work and all that lies between.

Whether a novice or an expert, we hope you consider us your craft circle and personal guide through the world of embroidery; at its essence, it is simply a needle and thread after all.  It is our sincerest wish that we can pass and stow our skills, knowledge, resources, materials and tools to anyone and everyone captivated by this time-honored art.

Enjoy!

"She is just a treasure for our parish community. So many of the old vestments and other linens and such were literally falling into pieces. Without her skills and keen eye, these items could have been lost to history. Instead, they are accurately and beautifully restored to their former glory."

Father Wayne Epperley, pastor of Old St Mary’s
